Nobix Alert Scheduled Messages The Schedule pane is used to manage the repetetive message schedule in Nobix Alert. The Message Schedule list displays the contents of the message schedule. Messages may be scheduled based on a variety of scheduling parameters. The message properties displayed in the list are:
Selecting an existing entry displays the entired text in the lower Text Edit Box, this allowing it to be modified. Adding a new entry Pressing the Action menu item New Scheduled Message displays the Scheduled Message dialog. The property fields in this dialog are:
When Enabled is checked, the message will be sent according to its configured schedule (see below). If Send Once is checked, the message will be initally sent per its configured schedule but will be disabled after the first time it is sent. RecipientRecipient or distribution list name that the message should be sent to. This value becomes the initial name assigned to the scheduled message. The name may be changed at any time by clicking on the name in the Message Schedule List after the message has been added. MessageThe text of the message. To add stored text, position the cursor where appropriate in the Message body, right-click and select Append Stored Text Message ScheduleText wording of the days and times the message is set to be sent out. To modify the schedule, press the Modify Schedule button, which displays the Message Time Definition dialog. Changing a Message Name A schedule message identifying name may be changed by single-clicking on the message's name (the Distribution column). This allows entry of a new name. Duplicates are allowed. Entries are made unique by their schedule and text content. Modifying an Existing Entry To modify an existing entry, either double-click on the entry in the Message Schedule List, or select the entry and then from the Action menu select Properties.
Delete a Scheduled Message Selecting the entry in the Message Schedule List and then selecting Delete from the Action menu (or right-click menu) causes the entry to be removed from the schedule message table. Confirmation is asked for before any deletion is performed. To simply disable a message and prevent it from being sent, select the entry and press Properties on the Action menu, or double-click the entry. Then un-check the Enabled check box. |
